Open Basketball Competition Men’s Category 2024
Major Dhyanchand Physical Education Department of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University inaugurated the Open Basketball Competition Men’s Category 2024 at Major General Mohan Singh Sports Ground. Various teams like Alley Oop, Bounce Crew, Flash Jumper, Swish Heroes, Dunk Squad, Short Star, Court King, Net Rippers etc. have participated in this competition. The team is being represented by an international and national player as the captain of each team. The competition is being organized under the direction of program coordinator Dr. Praveen Kumar and co-coordinator Shubham Rathi. Professor Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dean Faculty of Education,Head Department of Physical Education, welcomed the Chief Guest, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Himanshu Aeran, Dean of all the colleges, all the teachers and participants. Chief guest Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Himanshu Aeran encouraged the basketball players and extended good wishes. This competition was inaugurated by chief guest Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Himanshu Aeran. He congratulated Professor Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dean Faculty of Education and Head Department of Physical Education, and his entire organizing team for successfully organizing the tournament. During the inaugural address at the function, the Pro Vice Chancellor of the University stressed on the importance of sports and motivated the students and players to participate in sports activities. He said that such tournaments not only promote physical fitness but also inculcate sports spirit and also develop discipline. In this competition, teachers and caretakers of the Physical Education Department are also making important contributions in various roles. The spectators are also enjoying this tournament a lot and are encouraging the players. The main objective of this event is to promote sports culture in the university and provide a platform to the students to enhance their sports skills.
