The Department of Education, Faculty of Education (FOE), in collaboration with the Dr. Ambedkar Chair, successfully organized an activity titled “Know Your Rights, Know Your Duty: Vigilance Awareness Quiz” under Vigilance Awareness 2025.
The quiz aimed to promote awareness among students and faculty members regarding their fundamental rights and duties, fostering a sense of integrity, accountability, and social responsibility. On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, CEO and Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut extended their best wishes for the successful organization of the event. The initiative was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, which emphasizes promoting just, peaceful, and inclusive societies.
Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education , motivated the students to participate actively in such awareness programs and encouraged them to contribute toward building a responsible and ethical society. Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh , Head , Department of Education, Faculty of Education addressed the gathering and spoke about the significance of vigilance in building ethical values and good governance. During the event, Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj shared valuable insights on the theme of Vigilance Awareness, highlighting the importance of honesty, integrity, and transparency in public life.
A total of 122 participants from across the university enthusiastically took part in the online quiz, and all the participants received E-certificates for their successful participation.
The event was coordinated by Ms. Vaishali Saini (Assistant Professor, Department of Education, FOE, SVSU) under the guidance of the Professor, Dr. Ambedkar Chair, with the support of the Head, Department of Education, and the Dean, Faculty of Education.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Vaishali Saini, the Convener of the event. The activity proved to be informative and inspiring, reinforcing the message of vigilance, ethical conduct, and civic responsibility while supporting the broader goals of sustainable and transparent governance.
