The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Mechanical Engineering Department of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, continued its tradition by organizing and celebrating Vishwakarma Poojaotsav Day in the Mechanical Department workshop on Tuesday, 17th September 2025. According to the Hindu calendar, Vishwakarma Puja is observed on the Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashwin. Revered as the world’s first engineer and architect, Devshilpi Baba Vishwakarma is honored on this special day. As part of the tradition, machines and tools in the workshop were worshiped to seek blessings for safety, productivity, and success.
The event was efficiently managed and conducted under the guidance of Head of Department, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, along with Er. Guru Sewak Kesharwani, Er. Krishna Kumar Sharma, Er. Sachin Kumar, Er. Juhi Verma, and lab staff members Pradeep Kumar, Vinay Kumar, and Sandeep Kumar. The celebration saw the active participation of all department heads, academic and non-academic staff, and students of the Faculty of Engineering. Their collective efforts made the puja a grand success, fostering a spirit of unity and devotion among all attendees.
