Name of the Event:  Field visit of Primary Health Centre & Community Health Centre.

Objective: To help them to understand the functioning of the Primary Health Centre (PHC)& Community Health Centre (CHC) about the facilities and services provided by them to rural communities.

Activities: Department of Public Health Dentistry, Subharti Dental College & Hospital, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut organized a field visit for our BDS student as part of the DCI Curriculum At Primary Health Centre, Jani Khurd & Community Health Centre, Panchli  District-Meerut on 31sr  August 2021. Primary Health Centres are the cornerstone of rural health services- the first port of call to a qualified doctor of the public sector in rural areas for the sick and those who directly report or are referred from Sub-centres for curative, preventive and promotive health care. A Primary Health Centre covers a population of 20,000 in hilly, tribal, or difficult areas and 30,000 populations in plain areas with 4-6 indoor/observation beds. It acts as a referral unit for 6 sub-centres and refers cases to CHC (30 bedded hospital) and higher order public hospitals located at the sub-district and district levels.
