The Delegation of USSH, Vietnam National University visited Swami Vivekanand Subharti University
Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut, which is pioneering in the field of education and medicine, is attracting everyone with its high-quality medical facilities, Academics, and Indian Culture and Art. Impressed by these qualities of the university, prestigious institutions from across the world come to visit the Subharti University campus. In this regard, Dr. Hien Le, Vice Dean of Oriental Studies and Head of Indian Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, visited Subharti University with the delegation. On arrival at Subharti University, Hon. Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhay Shankar Gowda welcomed the delegation including Dr. Hien Le at the Vice Chancellor’s office. In the welcome introduction meeting Hon. Pro Vice Chancellor – Dr. Abhay Shankar Gowda, Registrar – Group Captain M. Yakub, Director of International Students and Global Relations – Mr. Anindya Bhanja, Dean & Principal of Faculty of Fine Arts – Prof. Dr. Pintu Mishra, HOD of School of Buddhist Studies – Dr. Champalal Mandrele, HOD Dept. of Library & Information Science of Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences – Dr. Sudhir Tyagi, HOD Dept. of Home Science of Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences – Dr. Tushti Sharma, Dean & Principal of Nursing College – Capt. Dr. Geeta Parwanda, Head of College of Hotel Management – Dr. Shivmohan Verma, and others were present and welcomed the delegation while introducing the university. Chief Executive Officer of Subharti University, Dr. Shalya Raj greeted the members of the delegation of Vietnam National University. Hon. Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhay Shankar Gowda said that Subharti University is enhancing the knowledge of its students with the mantra of education, service, values, and nationalism. He said that Subharti University is working on a large scale for quality education, research, medicine, and preservation of Indian culture. He introduced the members of the Vietnamese delegation in detail to all the faculties and departments of the university. Chief guest Dr. Hien Le said that Subharti University is functioning as a confluence of Indian culture. While visiting the ancient Bodhi tree in Bodhi Park, she said that Subharti University has done inspirational work for the welfare of humanity across the world by imbibing the ideals of Tathagat Buddha. She said that India and Vietnam have always had cordial relations and together with Subharti University, major work will be done in this direction.She along with all the members of the delegation visited all the faculties and departments including Fine Arts College, Subharti School of Buddhist Studies, Journalism Department, and Radio & TV stations of Subharti University, and obtained information about the educational activities. Mr. Anindya Bhanja, Director of International Student and Global Relations, said that educational exchanges in mobility of students, collaborative research, and faculty development between Vietnam National University and Subharti University will be carried out with mutual participation. The entire event was smoothly sailed with the help of PRO Sameer Singh and others.
