Individualized Research and Guidance Session
On the 8th of December 2023, an individualized research guidance focusing on writing a scholarly article as a “Book Review” was conducted for the PH.D English research scholars at the Department of English, Subharti University, Meerut. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals such as Dr. Pooja Gupta, Dr. Shobha Raturi, and others, all operating under the leadership of Prof. Dr Tushti Sharma, the Head, Department of Languages..
During the session active participation of research scholars Mr Lalmalsawmtluanga and Ms Lalmalsawmtluangi from Mizoram specializing in the English subject, demonstrated a profound interest in the subject matter. Prof. Dr Rajeswar Pal, during his presentation, delved into the significance of book reviews, elucidating on topics such as the utility of book reviews, methods employed in conducting book reviews, objectives underlying the process, and the pivotal role of book reviews in guiding the selection of research topics.
In her conclusive remarks, Ph. D Supervisor of the scholars Prof. Dr Tushti Sharma emphasized the necessity of thoroughly studying and exploring books published on the relevant author when choosing a research topic. She highlighted the importance of identifying new points of criticism that have yet to be explored, asserting that this process is integral to the selection of a research topic. The workshop provided valuable insights into the intricacies of book reviews and their role in shaping research endeavors.
