PHYSIOTHERAPY WEEK CELEBRATION

On World Physiotherapy Day (8th September) Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy, SVSU has organized various events to embrace their profession. The events started on the 1st and continued till the 8th of September 2022.

  1. The Physiotherapy week was commenced with Physiotherapy Camps in Subharti health centers in Multan Nagar on 1st September, In Sharavni on 2nd September, and in Khajuri on 3rd Camp was also organized in Physiotherapy OPD, CSSH from 6th to 8th September. Many patients benefitted from these camps.
  2. A Seminar on “Osteoarthritis ” (Theme of World Physiotherapy Day 2022) was organized on 7th September 2022. The Chief speaker was Dr. Avinash Rastogi, a Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics SMC. This event was coordinated by Dr.Shikha Singh & Dr. Gaurav Tyagi
  3. A Quiz Competition on Martyrs was organized on 7th September 2022 for BPT students and Interns. The winners of the quiz were BPT 2020 Batch Students and Ms. Prashansa and Ms. Sofiya Hussain. This event was coordinated by Dr. Shikha Singh & Dr. Ashwarya Rai.
  4. The inter-college sports competition was organized on 7th September 2022. The events were balance basketball and balance bat and ball. Winners of the events were Mr. Zaid Hassan and Mr. Shuaib Tyagi in the Boys category and Miss Arzoo Singh and Miss Akansha Panwar in the Girls category in the balance bat and ball. Mr. Shrey Gupta and Mr. Shuaib Tyagi were first and Mr. Nakul Prakash secured the second position in balance basketball.The Physiotherapy week was started with a motive to spread awareness among people about physiotherapy & it ended on a positive note. The experience was an overwhelming one.8th September i.e World Physiotherapy Day started with a flash mob (coordinated by Dr. Meenu Nagar) and was followed by a cultural program, Chief Guest of the event was Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Sir. The event was graced by various HOD’s and faculties of SMC. The event started by lamp lightening was VC Sir, Dr.Jasmine Anandabai (Dean and Principal JRPSCPT), and IAP Committee members Meerut branch. The program proceeded with Patriotic group singing (coordinated by Dr. Sajid Khan) and was followed by a musical play on the importance of physiotherapy (coordinated by Dr.Apoorva). This event was co-ordinated by Dr.Kayinat Hassan, Dr.Shikha Singh & Dr.Latika Gulyani.
