Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Subharti Department of Journalism and Mass Communication celebrated the 173rd birth anniversary of Bhartendu Harishchandra by organizing a Special Lecture on 09th September 2022. Bhartendu Harishchandra is considered as the grandfather of Hindi Journalism.
In 35 years of his life he has written a lot and translated many books and other literary works.
He has also edited the famous magazines of that time for example “kavivachansudha”, “balabodhini” and “Harishchandra Chandrika”.
This lecture has given an intensive and comprehensive view on the life of Bhartendu Harishchandra.

Dr. Gunjan Sharma given the welcome note and Mr. Ram Prakash Tiwari, Assistant Professor hosted the program. The program was ended by a vote of thanks given by the program coordinator and Assistant Professor Mr. Shubham Kumar Sah. Students as well as faculty members benefited by the information provided by Prof. Ashok Tyagi, Dr. Deshraj Singh,Mr. Kuldeep Narayan.
