Eat Healthy, Live Healthy. Keeping this in mind, Club Vyanjan of Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management organized one day workshop on “Nourish & Flourish “on 6th Sept, 2022 to provide hands-on practice for Hotel Management students in the preparation of Healthy recipes.
The Workshop started at 10:30 AM with a welcome note by Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma, Principal, BCSCHM. The speaker of the session was Chef Shobhit who firstly explained the details about Health & Nutrition. Chef Vikas handled the preparation of recipes with the help of students.
The chef demonstrated four nutritious recipes:
Banana Smoothie
Moong Dal Crepes
Multigrain Vegetable Khichdi
Mango Pineapple Whole Wheat Porridge
These recipes are extremely healthy as well as nutritious with low fat and high in nutrients. After the demonstration by Chef Vikas, students of Hotel Management took initiative and prepared the recipes to live in front of an audience under the supervision of the Chef.
The objectives of this workshop were:
- To spread awareness among the students & teachers about healthy diet and recipes.
- To demonstrate the preparation of healthy recipes.
- To enhance the confidence level of students.
- To develop practical skills of students
After the lecture, Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma thanked Chef Vikas & Shobhit and members of Club Vyanjan for organizing such a useful workshop for students & teachers. He also thanked all the participants for making this event a grand success. During the Guest Lecture 61 students, and 9 Faculty members were present.
