REPORT OF ALZHEIMER”S DAY: The Alzheimer’s day was celebrated in Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College on 21/09/2019. The programme started with unfold the theme by the our chief guest Prof.Chanu, Principal, Vivekanand College Of Nirsing, Mordabad.
Prof .Mrs.sumita ,HOD ,Dept of Psychiatry , introduced our chief guest and Asst.Prof .Mr.Arun & Asst.Prof. Mrs.Nisha did floral welcome to Prof.Mrs. Nandeibam phajaton chanu , Principal , Vivekanand College Of Nirsing, Mordabad respectively .
The welcome speech was given by Ms.Gunjali M.Sc (N) Ist year , Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College. She focused on Alzheimer’s disease awareness in the individuals and society.
In this occasion we have conducted roleplay in OPD of CSSH which is depicted or showed the views of Alzheimer’s and awareness of the disease condition. The role play was attended by the Chief Guest Prof.Mrs. Nandeibam phajaton chanu ,Prof. Mrs.Sumita ,HOD of Mental Health Nursing, Asst.Prof. Mr.Arun.R, Asst.Prof.Mrs.Nisha ,Asst Lect.Priya , Staff nurses, Ward attenders, Students of the nursing college, patients and along with their relatives.
The role play had a positive impact on the viewers having behind the ways or techniques how they can manage the alzheimer’s patients and senior citizen’s .
Asst.Prof.Arun has explained the theme of world Alzheimer’s day -2019 “Raising Awareness And Challenging Stigma” and also he provided good knowledge regarding how to handle the alzheimer patients in our home.
Asso. Prof .Mrs.Sumita, , Asst.prof.Mr.Arun , Dept of psychiatry, both has taken entire programme for World Alzheimer’s Day.
Finally Asst.Prof.NIsha.G has given vote of thanks to all the participants.
