Report on the Celebration of World Environment Day on
5th June 2024

Every year, the World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June, to create awareness on the environmental problems & pollution, and to encourage efforts to protect the environment. This year theme is Land Restoration, desertification & drought resilience.

Rastriyata & Environment Club, Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy, SVSU celebrated this year World Environment Day by organizing a Plantation activity under the Guidance of Dean & Principal Prof (Dr) Jasmine Anandabai.

A total of four Ashoka trees were planted in premises of the university (Opposite Lachit Boys Hostel). These trees are used for shade and have medicinal values.

The event started by addressing note of Dean & Principal Prof (Dr) Jasmine Anandabai. She told about the importance of plants & trees and the adverse effect of deforestation.

  1. 1st tree was planted by – Prof (Dr) Jasmine Anandabai, Dean & Principal, JRPSCPT.
  2. 2nd tree was planted by- Dr. Rafat Khanam , Associate Professor, Department of Languages, FASS.
  3. 3rd   tree was planted by- Dr. Kayinat Hassan, Assistant Professor, JRPSCPT.
  4. 4th tree was planted by- Dr. Ritika Mani , Assistant Professor, JRPSCPT.

 

On the occasion of World Environment Day roohafza distribution was done by Ph.D Scholars of Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy. The distribution was for faculty, Staff, Students & Workers of SVSU.
