World Interior Day Celebrated
at Subharti University with Guest Lecture and Student Exhibition

World Interior Day was enthusiastically and creatively celebrated by the Department of Interior Design at Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. The occasion marked a significant moment in recognizing the importance of interior design and its role in shaping our built environment.
The event began with the inauguration of the Interior Exhibition and the unveiling of the Interior Design Catalogue “Sthapatya 2025”, a vibrant showcase of design work by Interior Design students. The exhibition was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and unveiling of Sthapatya 2025 by Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, Dean of the College; Mr. Kuldeep Singh (Guest of Honor); Dr. Dhramraj J. Patil (Esteemed Guest); Dr. Neha Singh (Head of the Department); and other faculty members including Ms. Shradha Yadav (Academic Coordinator), Ms. Shailja Sindhay (Department Coordinator), Ms. Monika Verma, and Ms. Shabnum Shabir.
The celebration featured a guest lecture on “Art & Construction in Interior”, delivered by renowned industry expert Mr. Kuldeep Singh. The session explored the intricate relationship between artistic expression and structural elements in interior spaces, offering valuable insights to students and faculty alike.
Adding to the spirit of the day, an exhibition showcased the innovative and artistic work of Interior Design students. It featured a wide range of creative projects, models, and visual presentations that highlighted the talent, technical skills, and design sensibilities of budding designers.
The event served not only as a platform for learning and inspiration but also as a tribute to the essential role of interior design in enhancing everyday life. It reinforced the department’s commitment to fostering creativity, practical knowledge, and professional growth among its students.
The guest lecture concluded with a token of thanks presented by Ms. Shabnum Shabir, who extended heartfelt gratitude to Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra and Mr. Kuldeep Singh for their valuable presence and contributions. Special thanks were also given to Ms. Monika Verma for designing the Sthapatya 2025 catalogue.
The celebration successfully highlighted the importance of interior design in creating functional and beautiful spaces, while reaffirming the department’s dedication to nurturing creativity, professionalism, and real-world learning experiences.
