On the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, the Faculty of Physiotherapy & Allied Sciences celebrated World Tuberculosis Day on 24th March 2022. A skit program entitled “हर सांस है जरूरी” was organized by BPT 4th year students aiming for awareness, prevention, treatment, and tuberculosis eradication government policies like DOTS. The program was oriented toward nonteaching staff and students.
The main theme of the play was:
- What is TB?
- Why We celebrate World TB Day on 24th March?
- What is the cause of TB?
- What are the symptoms?
- How is it transmitted?
- What are the preventive measures?
- Where to go for diagnosis and treatment?
- Is TB treatment free? What are the related government policies?
- Demonstration on hand, cough, and sneeze hygiene
The activity was organized under the Theater Club and Cardiopulmonary Department. Around more than 20 non-teaching staff and 100 students attended the program. The program was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Jasmine Anandabai, Principal & Dean, Faculty of Physiotherapy & Allied Sciences.
