Report on Yoga Workshop Conducted in Preparation for International Day of Yoga 2026
Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized a Yoga Workshop for the faculty members of Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy on 20/06/26 as part of the International Day of Yoga 2026 celebration.
The workshop was organized with the objective of creating awareness about the significance of yoga in promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being and encouraging participants to adopt yogic practices as an integral part of their daily lifestyle. The initiative also aimed to familiarize participants with the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) and its role in preventive healthcare and holistic wellness.
The session was coordinated and conducted by Dr. Juhi Rajput, Tutor, MASCHNYS, who served as the Resource Person for the workshop. During the session, she demonstrated the Common Yoga Protocol and highlighted the importance of yoga in enhancing physical fitness, mental clarity, emotional stability, stress management, and overall quality of life.
The workshop comprised practical demonstrations of various components of the Common Yoga Protocol, including:
- Loosening and warm-up exercises
- Standing postures (Asanas)
- Sitting postures (Asanas)
- Prone and supine postures
- Pranayama practices
- Meditation techniques
- Relaxation exercises
Participants were guided through each practice with detailed instructions on proper posture, breathing techniques, safety precautions, and associated health benefits. Special emphasis was placed on the preventive and therapeutic role of yoga in managing lifestyle-related disorders, improving flexibility and posture, enhancing concentration, reducing stress, and promoting holistic health.
The workshop was graced by the presence of the Principal and 21 faculty members of Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy, who actively participated in the session with enthusiasm and dedication. The interactive nature of the program enabled participants to experience the benefits of yoga firsthand and encouraged them to incorporate regular yoga practice into their daily routines.
