“1st International Physiotherapy Conference”
Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy successfully organized the “1st International Physiotherapy Conference” on 28th and 29th October 2023. The two-day event witnessed an unprecedented gathering of 200 esteemed professionals and 800 students from various institutions across the nation. The conference served as a platform for sharing knowledge, discussing emerging trends, and exploring innovative practices in the field of Physiotherapy.
On Day-1, The Conference commenced with great enthusiasm and energy with the Esteemed Guests, Major General Dr. G.K. Thapliyal (Honorable Vice Chancellor; SVSU), Dr. Shalya Raj (Honorable CEO; SVSU), Prof (Dr) Sanjiv K. Jha (IAP President), Dr. Kartik Shah (International Speaker), and Prof (Dr) Jasmine Anandabai (Dean and Principal; JRPSCPT), gracing the event with their presence. This was followed by lamp lighting. The dignitaries subsequently delivered a warm welcome address, setting the tone for the productive sessions ahead. The day unfolded with two comprehensive scientific sessions dedicated to paper and poster presentations, showcasing the latest research and advancements in the field. Additionally, the cultural segment brought forth mesmerizing solo singing and dancing performances, captivating the audience and adding an element of vibrancy to the proceedings.
Notable institutions like Integral University, Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University, Jamia Hamdard University, Jamia Milia islamia University, Faculty of Paramedical Science, Safai and several other colleges actively participated, contributing to the event’s diversity and richness.
The commencement of the second day was with Lamp lighting by Hon’ble dignitaries Prof (Dr) Sanjiv K. Jha, Dr. Kartik Shah, Dr. Ruchi Varshney, Dr. Joji M. John (Joint Secretary IAP, East Zone), along with Subharti Gaan. Thereafter, the gathering was virtually addressed by the presence of Shri. B. L. Verma, the esteemed Guest of Honor; Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha and the State Vice-President of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, he emphasized the significance and the crucial role played by Physiotherapists. This was followed by an array of engaging talks by distinguished speakers, including Prof (Dr) Sanjiv K. Jha, who shed light on the “Myofascial Release Technique,” and Dr. Ruchi Varshney, the IAP Treasurer, who spoke on the “Role of Physiotherapists in Improving Global Health.” Prof (Dr) Jasmine Anandabai delivered an insightful presentation titled “25: Journey through Time: The Legacy,” while Dr. Kartik Shah, the International Speaker, shared valuable insights on “Global Physiotherapy and Skill/Assessment Techniques from Canada.”

The event culminated with the distribution of prizes for the cultural events and scientific sessions, along with the presentation of appreciation awards to the dedicated organizing team of JRPSCPT. The event’s success is accredited to Prof (Dr) Jasmine Anandabai, Dean and Principal, JRPSCPT for her unwavering dedication, leadership, constant support and insightful guidance. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Amit Kumar Goel; Associate Professor (Treasurer), Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma; Associate Professor (Convener), Dr. Shikha Singh; Associate Professor (Joint Secretary) and the entire team of organizing faculty members of JRPSCPT. A heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Gaurav Pratap Tyagi; Assistant Professor (Organizing Secretary), brought the conference to a memorable close, leaving the participants inspired and enriched with new perspectives in the realm of physiotherapy.
