“Fresher’s Party” in any university/college is an event for which every student eagerly awaits from their time of admission. So with this thought, students of Keral Verma Subharti College of Science, SVSU, Meerut organized a fresher’s party on 28.12.2021 to welcome the newly admitted students of batch 2021.
The celebration started at 11:00 AM at the moot court of Subharti Law College in a traditional Indian way by tilak ceremony of entire freshers and the dignitaries. The dress code for the party was “Red, Black, and White”. The program was hosted by Kartikay Sehrawat, Preeti Chaudhary, Yash Arora, Khushboo, and Simran Kumari who extended a warm welcome to all the members present at the function. Anchors took on the stage in their funny way of attracting the audience towards them and adding a cherry to the pie.
The event was graced by the presence of our Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Major General Prof. (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal encouraged all the students with many positive things and gave a noble message to all the students “Arise, awake, and don’t stop till the goal is achieved”. Vice-Chancellor sir has also emphasized the motto of the University i.e. “Education, Service, Sanskar, and Nationality” and conveyed his best wishes to all the freshers for their upcoming future. Hon’ble CEO Madam Prof. (Dr.)Shalya Raj also sent a message to extend her blessings to the organizing team and the new students.
Senior students arranged many activities for freshers where everyone got a chance to showcase their talent. Refreshments were served in between the program. The events were started with a stunning ramp walk and later small games like flip the bottles, musical chairs, chit games were organized to make the function more tricky and fun! followed by singing and dancing. Singing and dancing performances were also thereby second and third-year students.
The entire family of Science College relished the exotic lunch followed by the felicitation of the winning students. Trophies and gifts were given by the jury members to all the winners and runner-ups of the event. Mr. Aryan Baliyan from B.Sc. PCM and Ms. Isha Singh from M.Sc. Physics won the Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher titles, respectively. The overall purpose of Fresher’s party is to welcome the freshers and encourage their creative instincts to boost their confidence and unity. The party culminated in a very high spirit and concluded with a group dance of all the students. The party was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter, and happiness.
The program was conducted with the support of Prof. Mahavir Singh (Dean, College of Science) and coordinated by Dr. Anju Rani, Dr. Ekta Gupta, Dr. Nisha Malik, Dr. Neeru Singh, Dr. Shasi Bala, Dr. Neha Saxena, Dr. Vishal Kumar, and Mr. Himanshu Sirohi (Cultural Committee Members). Mr. Anshul was there for technical support. All other teaching and non-teaching staff were also present for support and maintaining discipline.
