29th Annual National Conference of NRSI

The Nurse Researcher Society for Innovation (NRSI), in collaboration with Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College, organized the 29th Annual National Conference on the theme “Emerging Trends in Nursing Research” on 14th and 15th November at the Maharani Laxmi Bai Auditorium, SVSU..

The conference commenced with the First Plenary Session on “Emerging Trends in Nursing Research Methodologies.” The distinguished Resource Persons included Dr. Assuma Beevi, Director, Aster MIMS Academy, Kerala and President, NRSI, who delivered an insightful talk on Multidisciplinary Research; Dr. Anil Sharma, Principal, Manikala Toawala College of Nursing, Charusat University and Vice President, NRSI, who presented on Implementation Research; and Dr. Priyanka Bansal, Chief Academic Officer, NNL ONE (Nursing Next), New Delhi, who spoke on the Delphi Technique. The session was expertly moderated by Dr. Usha Ukande, President, SOMI and Director, Edu Serum X, College of Nursing, Indore.

The Inaugural Ceremony commenced with the traditional Lamp Lighting, accompanied by a graceful rendition of Saraswati Vandana performed by students of the Fine Arts Department. The Guest of Honour for the event was Prof. Dr. P. K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SVSU, and the Special Guest was Dr. Lubhan Singh, Additional Director, Research, SVSU. The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Geeta Parwanda, Principal & Dean, PDMSNC.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Usha Ukande, President, SOMI; Dr. Assuma Beevi, Director, Aster MIMS Academy, Kerala & President, NRSI; Dr. Anil Sharma, Principal, Manikala Toawala College of Nursing, Charusat University & Vice President, NRSI; Dr. Lata Mandal, Joint Secretary, NRSI & Head, Research Wing, Indian Council of Neuropsychology; and Dr. Geeta Parwanda, Principal & Dean, PDMSNC. Together, they formally released the Conference Proceedings, marking the official inauguration of the event.

This was followed by the First Panel Discussion on the theme “AI in Nursing Research.” The panel comprised distinguished experts including Dr. Usha Ukande, President, SOMI & Director, Edu Serum X, College of Nursing, Indore; Dr. Prema Janardan, Professor-cum-Vice Principal, VHS–M.A. Chidambaram College of Nursing, Chennai; and Dr. Gopichandran L., Quality Manager & Nursing Consultant, NIMHANS, Bengaluru. The session was skillfully moderated by Dr. Sanchita Pugazhendi, Professor-cum-Principal, Himalayan College of Nursing, Dehradun.

The Second Plenary Session focused on the theme “Knowledge Translation in Nursing.” The Resource Persons for the session were Prof. Dr. Shweta Pattnaik, Treasurer, NRSI & Professor, Choithram College of Nursing, Indore, who delivered an insightful session on Understanding the Basics of Knowledge Translation, and Dr. Raman Kalia, Principal, Saraswati Nursing Institute, Chandigarh, who spoke on How to Share Research Findings with Nurses, Patients, and Policymakers in Simple Language. The session was moderated by Dr. Assuma Beevi, Dean, Aster MIMS Academy, Kerala & President, NRSI.

This was followed by the Scientific Paper and Poster Presentations, evaluated and moderated by Dr. Ashok Kumar, NT, NINE, Chandigarh; Dr. Shatrughan Pareek, IRHS, Bikaner, Rajasthan; and Dr. Anirudh Shrivastav, Associate Professor, R&D Cell, SVSU.

The conference concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. K. Sriram, PDMSNC, SVSU. Around 150 delegates participated in the conference. The day concluded with a vibrant Cultural Program at the Satyajit Ray Auditorium, where students from various states showcased diverse and colourful performances on stage.
