Report on Pre-conference Workshop
Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College organized the Pre-Conference Workshop of the 29th Annual National Conference of NRSI on the theme “Empowering Nurse Researchers: PRISMA for Systematic Review” on 13th November 2025.
The program commenced with a Lamp Lighting Ceremony, followed by the Welcome Address by Dr. Geeta Parwanda, Principal & Dean, PDMSNC, accompanied by a green gesture of welcome.
The Guest of Honour was Dr. Rahul Bansal, Professor & Advisor, Department of Community Medicine, SVSU, and the Special Guest was Dr. Assuma Beevi, Director, Aster MIMS Academy, Kerala & President, NRSI.
The First Plenary Session covered the topic “Foundations of Systematic Reviews in Nursing Research”. The Resource Person was Dr. Jyoti Kaithwal, Assistant Professor, AIIMS Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, and the session was chaired by Dr. Biswa Pratim Das, Associate Professor & Coordinator (Clinical Genetics), CRS, SVSU. Following this, Poster Inaugural Ceremony was held, in which around six posters were showcased.
The Second and Third Plenary Sessions were conducted by Dr. Ashok Kumar, NT, National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE), Chandigarh, and chaired by Dr. Anirudh Srivastava, Associate Professor, R&D Cell, SVSU. In the afternoon, the Fourth Plenary Session included Hands-On with PRISMA: Step-by-Step Application in Systematic Review, conducted by Dr. Ashok Kumar, NT, NINE Chandigarh and Dr. Deepak Kumar, Principal, Beehive College of Nursing, Dehradun followed by Hands-On Training in Data Analysis using Jamovi Software, facilitated by Dr. Kayanat Nasser, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Subharti Medical College, SVSU.
The workshop concluded with a Feedback Session, Valedictory Ceremony, Certificate Distribution, and the Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. Manu, PDMSNC, SVSU. A total of around 250 participants from different states attended the Pre-Conference Workshop. The entire event was successfully coordinated by the organizing committee — Prof. Sriram, Prof. Manu, Prof. Ambli, and Associate Professor Madhuri — under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Geeta Parwanda, Principal, PDMSNC.
