Children’s Day Celebration

The Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a vibrant Children’s Day Celebration on 14th November 2025. The event was conducted to honor the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and to recognize the significance of children as the nation’s future. The celebration highlighted the importance of fostering an inclusive, equitable, and creative learning environment for all students.

 

The program commenced at 10:00 AM and continued until 12:30 PM, featuring a variety of cultural and interactive activities.

Lt. Prof. (Dr) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, extended his warm wishes to all the students and appreciated their active involvement in the celebration. He emphasized that Children’s Day serves as a reminder of the responsibility educators hold in nurturing young minds with care, inspiration, and opportunities for growth. Prof. (Dr) Indira Singh, Head, Department Of Education, F.O.E, also commended the event, stating that such celebrations contribute significantly to holistic development by encouraging creativity, confidence, and collaboration among learners.

Students from B.El.Ed. , B.Ed., and M.Ed., along with all faculty members of Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, enthusiastically participated in the event.

A series of engaging fun and skill-based games were organised, including the Balloon Game, Memory Task Game, Antakshari, Dumb Charades and Passing the parcel. These activities encouraged teamwork, creativity, quick thinking, and active participation. Students showcased great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, making the celebration lively and memorable. The event also included cultural performances and motivational interactions.  Anchoring duties were effectively carried out by Dhani (B.El.Ed III Semester) and Shrutee (B.El.Ed VIII Semester). Afthis, Prizes were distributed to the winners. All the participants were very happy and enthusiastic.

The celebration was supervised by Dr. Reeba Devi, (Activity Coordinator), Assistant Professor, Department Of Education F.O.E, SVSU and Dr. Reshu Rani, (Cultural Coordinator), Assistant Professor, Department Of Education F.O.E, SVSU.

The Children’s Day event successfully achieved its objectives by celebrating the spirit of childhood, promoting inclusive learning, and providing students with a platform to express their creativity. It concluded with appreciation for the coordinators, volunteers, and all participants who contributed to making the event a resounding success. At the end of the event, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj.DoE, FoE.SVSU.Meerut.
