Two days International Conference “ATITHI 2022” was organized by Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University in association with Hospitality partner The MARS Resorts and Media Partner Ahaar Ways. In this occasion, 30+ experts from Hospitality and Tourism Industry from India & abroad presented their views on the theme “Advanced Technologies and Innovations in Hotel Management and Tourism sector”. The conference proceeding of the conference (ATITHI-2022) was released during this event. 35 research papers were presented in various technical sessions. Event was anchored by Ms. Garima Jain Goel and Mr. Indraneel Bose.
The conference was inaugurated by the chief guest, Chef Jatinder Uppal, Director Passion Foods, F & B Analyst, Stark Hospitality, Consulting Partner at Trance Hotels, Guest of Honor Prof. Lavkush Mishra, Professor & Director Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management & Dean, Faculty of Management at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra and Vice Chancellor of Subharti University, Maj. Gen. Dr. G.K.Thapliyal , Dr. Reyaz A. Qureshi, Department of Tourism, University of Kashmir, Dr. Jatashankar R. Tewari, Associate Professor, School of Tourism and Hospitality Services Management, IGNOU, New Delhi, Dr. Sandeep Walia , Associate Professor and Head of Department in School of Hotel Management and Tourism at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Punjab, Dr. Amit Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Sikkim Manipal University along with Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma, Head of Institution, BCSCHM, SVSU, Meerut by lighting the lamp in front of Maa Saraswati.
Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma, Head of Institution, Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management and organizing chairman of 7thInternational Conference, welcomed Chief Guest Chef Jatinder Uppal, Guest of Honor Prof. Lavkush Mishra and other dignitaries by presenting a sapling.
Chief Guest Chef Jatinder Uppal, while addressing the conference said that India is a land of cuisines as at every 200 km the cuisines changes. Indian cuisine is having unique influence of different mixed cultures. He also explained the uses of latest equipments and machineries in Food Production. He said that the field of tourism is very wide and has enormous employment opportunities and this industry is playing an important role in increasing the GDP of the Nation. He gave students detailed knowledge about the innovations in the hotel industry and also enlighten the audience with the importance of Manpower in Hospitality industry. He also praised the organizing committee for the 7th International Conference.
Guest of Honor Prof. Lavkush Mishra said that the need of the hour is to develop Tourism & Hospitality entrepreneurship for the growth of the industry. He insisted students to go through the case studies of various successful entrepreneurs. Lastly, he thanked the organizing committee for the proper arrangements and wished best of luck for future endeavors.
Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma, the Chief organizer of the 7th International Conference, said that from the last 7 years we are organizing International conference continuously by the blessings of almighty and the hard work of team BCSCHM. This kind of International Conference is organized with the help of the experts of Hotel and Tourism Industry with the aim to enhance the knowledge of the students and other participants. He told that total 35 research papers were selected from different states of India. He said that the objective of organizing the conference is to make the students aware about the advanced technologies in the field of hotel management and tourism.
During the program, Chief Guest Chef Jatinder Uppal was awarded with Life Time Achievement Award.
Selected dignitaries were honored with an award for outstanding work in the field of hospitality and tourism.
The conference ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Dhananjay Srivastav.
