From Idea to Impact: A Researcher’s Guide to Writing, Submitting, and Publishing High-Quality Article
Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy organized a comprehensive academic session on 16th July titled “From Idea to Impact: A Researcher’s Guide to Writing, Submitting, and Publishing High-Quality Articles.” The resource person was Dr. Anurag Srivastav, Associate Professor from the R&D Cell, who delivered a lecture on writing and submitting high-quality research papers. This enlightening session was aimed at strengthening the research capabilities of faculty members.
The session provided an in-depth overview of the entire research publication process — beginning with idea generation, selecting a relevant and impactful research topic, proper study design, data collection methods, and ethical research practices. Participants were guided on how to craft well-structured manuscripts, including tips on writing compelling abstracts, introductions, methodology, results, and discussions that meet international publication standards.
Special emphasis was placed on choosing the right journal, understanding indexing systems, citation metrics, impact factors, and navigating the peer-review process. The resource person also addressed common reasons for manuscript rejection and provided practical strategies for successful submission and revision. The session concluded with insights on publication ethics, plagiarism avoidance, authorship criteria, and open-access vs traditional publishing models.
This academic activity played a vital role in promoting research culture within the institution, encouraging scientific writing, and preparing participants to contribute effectively to the global scientific community.
