Swami Vivekanand Subharti University successfully organized the Mehndi Competition on 3rd September 2025 under its Annual Cultural Fest Spandan 2025, hosted by the Department of Physical Education. The event was inaugurated by Lt. Prof. Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dean of Faculty of Education, with a lamp-lighting ceremony before Goddess Saraswati graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, Dr. Bhavna Grover (chairperson University cultural Committee) gave motivation to students for maximum participation while the event was coordinated by Dr. Manju Adhikari (Department of Physical Education).
A total of 45 students from various faculties participated, showcasing creative and artistic Mehndi designs that reflected both traditional and modern styles. Dr. Sandeep Kumar highlighted the importance of such cultural events in nurturing creativity and holistic development among students.
Based on creativity, precision, and artistic presentation, the winners were declared:
First Prize (Joint): Anchal Chittauriya (Faculty of Fine Arts) & Karishma Kashyap (Law College)
Second Prize (Joint): Arpita (Law College) & Kumari Renu (Fine Arts)
Third Prize (Joint): Kritika Yadav (Fine Arts) & Divya Pundeer (Fine Arts)
The panel of judges included Nidhi Jain, Yasha Rastogi, and Shalini Sharma. Faculty members Dr. Manju Adhikari and Kapil Shakya were also present with volunteers of the event.
The event concluded successfully, filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and vibrant cultural expressions.
