The Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Department of Home Science, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a vibrant Freshers’ Party titled Fresh-O-Mania, to welcome the new batch of students with joy, energy, and inspiration. The event commenced with the divine blessings of Maa Saraswati, invoking knowledge and wisdom, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Jyoti Gaur, Head of Department, who motivated students with her encouraging words and extended heartfelt greetings to all the guests and participants. The occasion was graced by Dr. Shalya Raj, CEO of the University, who conveyed best wishes to the students and urged them to build such strong and inspiring character that not only their teachers and parents but they themselves would feel proud of their journey and achievements. Adding further inspiration, Dr. Nishma Singh and Dr. Shalu Nehra shared their valuable experiences, offering students a sense of hope, vision, and direction to move ahead and nurture their dreams with dedication. The lively event was meticulously coordinated and organized under the enthusiastic efforts of Dr. Mansi Chaudhary and Ms. Rupanshi Garg, ensuring a seamless celebration. A major highlight of the evening was the much-awaited titles of the event, where talent and confidence were celebrated with cheer. The Miss Dynamics were Shweval (B.Sc. 1st Year), Akashi (M.Sc. 1st Year), and Malvi (Diploma), while the proud title of Miss Fresher was bagged by Shipriyanshi (B.Sc. 1st Year), Lavika and Akashi (M.Sc. 1st Year), and Zeba (Diploma). The crown of Mr. Fresher was conferred upon Harsh from the Diploma course. The event truly reflected the spirit of camaraderie, cultural expression, and youthful enthusiasm, leaving the freshers with fond memories and a renewed sense of belonging. Fresh-O-Mania not only welcomed the newcomers with warmth and celebration but also set a positive tone for their academic journey ahead, blending festivity with motivation and inspiration, as the department once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing talent and shaping the future of its students.
