The Department of Languages, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, organised a grand farewell ceremony प्रस्थान for the outgoing M.A. students on 22 May 2026 at Pt. Ravi Shankar Hall, Fine Arts College. The programme was organised with great enthusiasm by the junior students to honour and celebrate the achievements of their seniors.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Seema Sharma, who greeted the dignitaries, faculty members, and students. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Sudhir Tyagi, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, who blessed the students and motivated them to work with dedication and sincerity in their future endeavours.
The farewell programme included cultural performances, interactive activities, fun games, and memorable moments presented by the juniors. The outgoing students shared their experiences and expressed gratitude towards the department and faculty members.
The farewell was organised for M.A. students namely Vidhi Goswami, Rithik Dhigan, Akanksha Dhigan, Chanchal Dhigan, Nasima, Raghavengra, Deepak, Lalrosangi, Deepika Srivastava, Shruti Sharma, and Pradeep.
During the programme, the titles of Mr. Farewell and Ms. Farewell were awarded to Rithik Dhigan and Vidhi Goswami respectively.
Faculty members present on the occasion included Dr. Manoj Tripathi, Dr. Manisha Luthra, Dr. Nishi Raghav, Dr. Rafat Khanam, Dr. Yeshpal, Dr. Swati Sharma, Dr. Ashish Kumar, Mr. Ankit Kumar, Dr. Preeti Sharma, Ms. Prajna, Dr. Akanksha Singh, Ms. Bhavana Joshi, and Ms. Soni Chauhan.
The programme concluded with group photographs, blessings from the faculty members, and best wishes for the bright future of the outgoing students. The event reflected the spirit of unity, affection, and academic camaraderie within the Department of Languages.
