Report on One-Day Yoga Session and Yoga Camp Organized on the Occasion of International Day of Yoga 2026
As part of the celebrations of the International Day of Yoga 2026, Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a One-Day Yoga Session and Yoga Camp on 19th June 2026 at Dewan VS Group of Institutions, Meerut. The programme was conducted in accordance with the International Day of Yoga theme, “Yoga for Healthy Aging,” highlighting the importance of yoga in promoting lifelong health, vitality, and well-being.
The primary objective of the camp was to create awareness among participants regarding the benefits of yoga and its role in maintaining physical fitness, mental wellness, emotional balance, and healthy aging. The programme emphasized the significance of adopting yoga as a daily practice to prevent lifestyle-related disorders, improve quality of life, and support overall health across all age groups.
The session was conducted by Dr. Archana Anilkumar, Assistant Professor, MASCHNYS, who provided valuable insights into the principles and benefits of yoga. Participants were guided through a series of yoga postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and relaxation techniques designed to enhance flexibility, improve concentration, reduce stress, and promote holistic well-being. Special emphasis was laid on the role of yoga in supporting active and healthy aging through regular practice.
Dr. Archana was accompanied by Dr. Sathwik V.D. (JR-I), Dr. Nishi (JR-I), Dr. Anshika (JR-I), and 4th Year BNYS students Samicshaa and Sachin, who actively contributed to the smooth organization and successful execution of the camp. Their support in demonstrating yogic practices and assisting participants helped make the session interactive and effective.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members of Dewan VS Group of Institutions. The attendees actively engaged in the practical session and gained firsthand experience of yoga practices that can be incorporated into their daily routine for improved health and wellness. The interactive discussions also provided an opportunity for participants to understand the scientific and therapeutic benefits of yoga and naturopathy in modern lifestyles.
The camp successfully delivered the message of “Yoga for Healthy Aging” and reinforced the importance of yoga as a powerful tool for achieving physical, mental, and social well-being. The event reflected the commitment of MASCHNYS towards community outreach, health promotion, and the dissemination of traditional Indian systems of medicine for creating a healthier society.
