FDP on “Bloom’s Taxonomy”

Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (MASCHNYS), Faculty of AYUSH, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Bloom’s Taxonomy” on 09 July 2026 in the Conference Hall of the college at 12pm.

Objectives of the FDP:

The Faculty Development Programme was organized with the following objectives:

  1. To familiarize faculty members with the concept and framework of Bloom’s Taxonomy.
  2. To enhance teaching-learning practices through outcome-based education.
  3. To develop measurable Course Outcomes (COs) and Program Outcomes (POs) using Bloom’s cognitive levels.
  4. To improve lesson planning, assessment methods, and question paper preparation.
  5. To encourage higher-order thinking skills among students through effective instructional strategies.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Programme Coordinator, Dr. Jyoti Madhur, who welcomed the resource person and faculty members. She highlighted the importance of continuous professional development and the role of Bloom’s Taxonomy in improving teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.

A total of 11 faculty members attended the programme.  The Programme was Coordinated by Dr. Jyoti Madhur, Assistant Professor, MASCHNYS, SVSU. The session was delivered by Dr Archana Anilkumar, Assistant Professor, who provided an insightful overview of Bloom’s Taxonomy and explained its revised cognitive domains—Remember, Understand, Apply, Analyze, Evaluate, and Create. She discussed how these cognitive levels can be effectively integrated into curriculum planning, lesson plans, teaching methodologies, learning objectives, and assessment strategies. The FDP concluded with a vote of thanks.
