The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) successfully organized a 02-days Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) on 21st & 22nd August 2026 at the Seminar Hall, Faculty of Education. The program was specially curated to orient and integrate newly appointed faculty members into the university’s academic culture, administrative frameworks, and pedagogical standards.
A total of 24 newly joined faculty members participated from diverse constituent colleges and departments, including:
- Faculty of Law
- Subharti Dental College
- Faculty of Engineering & Technology
- Subharti College of Pharmacy
- Subharti College of Fine Arts
- Subharti College of Allied Health Sciences
- Department of Home Science
- Department of Languages
- Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management
- Faculty of Management & Commerce (FoMC)
The 02 Day induction programme was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Gaurab Kumar Sharma (Member Secretary, HRDC & Associate Professor, AVGSCMC).
Inaugural Session
The programme commenced with a formal welcome address delivered by Dr. Dolly Vaishya (Associate Professor, FoMC). The ceremony was symbolically inaugurated with the traditional Lighting of the Lamp by dignitaries.
Dr. Dolly Vaishya then invited Prof. (Dr.) Padma Misra (Director, HRDC & Officiating Dean, FoMC) to deliver the opening address. Prof. Misra presented an overview of FIP August 2026, highlighting the core objectives of faculty empowerment and institutional alignment. The inaugural session was further elevated by an address reflecting the university’s foundational principles and vision.
Key Technical Modules & Resource Persons
(Day 01 -21 August 2026)
The induction schedule was divided into thematic modules covering essential aspects of academic governance, teaching methodologies, and research protocols:
- Foundational Values & Institutional Culture
- University Principles & Best Practices: Prof. (Dr.) Kapil Verma (Director, IQAC, SVSU) addressed the participants on SVSU’s core values, mission, unique distinctions, quality assurance benchmarks, organizational structure, and university achievements.
- Examination & Student Mentorship
- Question Paper Setting & Evaluation: Dr. Mumtaz Shaikh (Associate Professor, Faculty of Education) guided the new inductees on academic assessment norms, framing outcome-based question papers, and evaluation criteria.
- Mentor-Mentee System: Dr. Anoj Raj (Professor, Faculty of Education) emphasized building qualitative student-teacher relationships and implementing the mentor-mentee framework effectively.
- Research Integrity & Innovation
- IPR, Patent & Copyright Policy: Dr. Nisha Rana (R&D Department) delivered an interactive session on Intellectual Property Rights, navigating patent processes, and capitalizing on university research policies.

- Research & Plagiarism Guidelines: Dr. Anirudh Srivastava (R&D Department) briefed the faculty on institutional research protocols, academic integrity, and plagiarism prevention standards
Interactive Learning & Valedictory Session
All sessions across the two-day programme were highly interactive. The newly inducted faculty members actively raised queries regarding examination evaluation, research grant procedures, and student mentoring strategies, which were thoroughly addressed by the expert resource persons.
The Faculty Induction Programme concluded on a highly positive and encouraging note with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by the Programme Coordinator, Dr. Gaurab Kumar Sharma. On behalf of HRDC, he expressed profound gratitude to the university leadership, resource persons, and participants for their enthusiastic engagement.
