Special Lecture on “Netaji and the Power of Self-Belief”

The Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Research Chair organized a special lecture on the theme “Netaji and the Power of Self-Belief” with the objective of inspiring students through the life, ideals, determination, and leadership of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The lecture focused on the importance of self-belief, courage, perseverance, and determination in achieving personal and professional goals. The special lecture was delivered by Dr. Preeti Singh, Assistant Professor, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Research Chair. Through a series of examples from the life and struggles of Netaji, she explained how strong self-belief can enable an individual to overcome difficult circumstances and remain committed to a larger purpose. She highlighted Netaji’s unwavering confidence in his vision of an independent India and discussed how his determination, leadership, and willingness to take challenging decisions continue to inspire generations.

Dr. Singh also connected the theme of self-belief with the lives of students and encouraged them to develop confidence in their own abilities. She emphasized that success is not achieved merely through talent but also through determination, discipline, continuous effort, and the courage to face failures and challenges. The examples shared during the lecture helped students understand how the principles reflected in Netaji’s life can be applied in contemporary academic, professional, and personal situations.

Prof. Ashok Tyagi, Chair Professor, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Research Chair, also addressed the students on the occasion. He emphasized the relevance of Netaji’s ideas and values in the present time and encouraged students to draw inspiration from his courage, leadership, patriotism, and strong conviction. He highlighted the importance of developing a positive mindset and believing in one’s potential to contribute meaningfully to society. The lecture was interactive and witnessed active participation from the students. Students shared their views and reflections on Netaji’s personality and the significance of self-belief in their own lives. They also asked questions related to Netaji’s life, leadership, struggles, and the relevance of his ideals in the contemporary world. The interactive discussion provided students with an opportunity to critically reflect on the theme and express their perspectives.

The special lecture proved to be an enriching and motivational learning experience for the students.
