Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Department of Home Science Participates in UP International Trade Show 2026
Greater Noida, September 29, 2026: The Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Department of Home Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, actively participated in the 4th Edition of the UP International Trade Show, held from September 25 to 29, 2026, at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The Department of Home Science participated through the Janki Athi Appan Incubation Center, showcasing its startups Moolam Foods and Craft (LLP) and Shree Vrindah Food Preserve (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. A wide range of creative and handmade products, including table runners, fridge magnets, bangles set, key chains, hair bands, bookmarks, decorative envelopes, dreamcatchers, coasters, danglers, Poshak of Bhagwan Ji, diya sets, scarves and paperweights, were displayed at the event. The participation provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to entrepreneurship, product development, marketing, sales, customer interaction, product presentation and business management. Students actively participated in the event, interacted with visitors, explained product features, promoted the products and gained practical experience in managing a business in a real-world market environment. Through this experience, students developed important skills such as communication, teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, customer handling, pricing and marketing, and understood the complete process from product development to presentation, promotion and sale. The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Gaur, and active participation of Dr. Nishma Singh, Dr. Shalu Nehra, Dr. Mansi Chaudhary, Dr. Manshi, Dr. Akanksha Dwivedi, Dr. Rashi Rastogi, and Dr. Shailja Durgapal. The participation of the Department of Home Science reflects Swami Vivekanand Subharti University’s commitment to experiential learning, innovation, entrepreneurship and skill development, while providing students with meaningful opportunities to connect their academic learning and creative skills with practical entrepreneurial experiences.
