A grand celebration was organized for the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the birth anniversary celebrations of Rani Laxmibai Ji under the joint aegis of Unmukt Bharat, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University and Subharti Sanskriti Vibhag.
Distribution of warm clothes to 500 poor children and a Bhandara was organised which started by lamp lighting by Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, Managing Director, India Dial Us and Mr. Harpreet Mann, Chairman of Khalsa Help Foundation.
Dr. Vivek Sanskriti, Head of the Sanskriti Vibhag (Department of Culture) welcomed the guests by tying Patkas for the guest and presenting them with saplings. Mr. Joginder Singh, Mr. Ranjit Singh, Mr. Abhishek Chaudhary, Mr. Ravindra Singh and Mr. Sunil Thakur Ji from the Sikh community were the main guests.
Shri Kuldeep Narayan Ji narrated the life introduction of respected Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Rani Laxmibai Ji in detail to the people present for the ceremony and Bhandara. Dr. Vivek Sanskriti said in the welcome address that Subharti is one of the places in India where every festival and occasion is celebrated with enthusiasm. This is the result of the inspiration drawn from the head of the family, Dr. Atul Krishna Ji.
The Chief Guest Shri Sukhwinder Ji while congratulating the Sanskriti Vibhag for organising the event successfully said that Subharti is filling the spirits of the young generation with the need of the hour, today. Emphasizing the point of learning from today’s Inspiring Personality, he said that both personalities have made the land of India proud with their deeds and valour. Today there is a need to assimilate their views.
The dignitaries who attended the program also praised the 1000 days continuous Bhandara organised and pledged by Unmukt Bharat, running within the university campus. Founder of Subharti Group, Dr. Atul Krishna Ji gave a vote of thanks from Dehradun through video conferencing. On this occasion, the cooperation of Mr. Harshmalik, Mr. Satendra Kumar and Mr. Kunwarpal was commendable.
