Annual Cultural Fest “Satarang 2025”

Kerala Varma Subharti College of Science organised a 3-day annual cultural event ‘Sataranga 2K25’ from 9th April to 11th April. The games were inaugurated by Dean of the college Prof. Dr. Renu Mavi, Vice Principal Dr. Shashiraj Teotia by encouraging the participants. The games were conducted by Dr. Shashiraj Teotia. The first day of the event began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony. A total of 350 students participated enthusiastically in various competitions.

After the inaugural session, special guests including Dr. A.K. Chaubey, Addl. Dean Academics Affairs, SVSU, Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Chandra, Dean of Polytechnic, Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean of Physical Education and Dr. Atul Tiwari were felicitated.

The three-day festival began with a cultural programme in the Madan Mohan Malviya Auditorium on the first day and a tug of war competition in the General Mohan Singh Playground. In various categories of sports competitions, students participated in tug of war, running competition, carom and chess. Five and four teams of male and female categories respectively participated in tug of war competitions in which the participants of both the categories worked very hard and secured first, second and third positions. The cultural competitions started with solo dance, group dance and solo singing performances which showcased the immense talent of the students.

On the second day of the event, chess and running competitions were organized in male and female categories. On the second day, a street play was performed followed by a live comedy drama which made the audience laugh. The main attraction of the day was the much-awaited fashion show which mesmerized the audience by showcasing cultural traditions and retro Bollywood theme.

The third day of sports competitions saw carrom competition in which five and seven teams participated in male and female categories respectively. The last day started with creative mehndi and rangoli competitions where the students displayed their artistic talent. The results were announced after this. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks given by Dr. Sarita Rana in which she expressed her gratitude to all the Department Heads, faculty members, students and non-teaching staff for their contribution and support throughout the programme.
