A guest lecture on “Diagnostic and Assessment Criteria in Orthopaedic and Sports” was successfully conducted on 12th April 2025 at Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy, under the Guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Jasmine Anandabai, Dean & Principal.
The session was delivered by Dr. Shivani Lall, Professor of Practice, a renowned expert in Orthopaedic Physiotherapy and Sports Rehabilitation. The lecture aimed to enhance students’ clinical reasoning, assessment accuracy, and diagnostic skills in managing orthopaedic and sports-related injuries.
Dr. Shivani Lall covered key areas including:
- Clinical assessment protocols for common musculoskeletal injuries
- Differential diagnosis in orthopaedics
- Role of outcome measures in sports injury management
- Evidence-based tools and recent advancements in assessment techniques
The session was highly interactive and informative, with enthusiastic participation from BPT- 4th year students. Case examples and real-world scenarios enriched the learning experience, bridging the gap between theory and clinical practice.
