Antiragging week was celebrated at Subharti Dental College & Hospital, Meerut from 12th August to 18th August 2025 for the BDS 2023 and 2024 Batch.
The activities organized for the same were as follows-
- 12/08/2025 – Orientation programme on anti-ragging followed by displaying video on anti-ragging
- 13/08/2025 – Debate on Ragging – “A Boon or Bane”.
- 14/08/2025 – Skit on Anti – ragging.
- 16/08/2025 – Poster making competition.
- 18/08/2025 – Rally by students making people aware about ragging & Distribution of certificates / prizes
Dr. Nikhil Srivastava, Principal & Dean, SDC & H addressed the students about Ragging and its consequences, the Anti-ragging act, and other legal aspects of ragging. Dr. Vijay Wadhwan introduced the anti-ragging committee and squad and informed students about steps in reporting any incident of ragging. Videos regarding sensitizing the students about anti-ragging were played as recommended by the UGC along with a video that was created by the undergraduate students of 2020 Batch of Subharti Dental College & Hospital to bring awareness among the students about the anti-ragging measures taken by the institute in curbing the menace of ragging in the campus. The programme was attended by faculty members of Subharti Dental College, the anti ragging committee members, anti ragging squad members, BDS 2023 Batch & BDS 2024 Batch students and Class representatives of all the BDS Batches and interested participants from all BDS batch students.
