Atal ji’s birth centenary year celebrated by Subharti NSS

Various inter-collegiate competitions were organized by the National Service Scheme Cell of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University as per the instructions of the Uttar Pradesh government under the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee birth centenary year celebrations. During this, Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Chandra Lohani, Head of Department, Hindi and Modern Indian Languages, CCS University, Meerut was present as the chief speaker and guest. All these competitions were organized in the campus of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, in which students from various departments of the university participated.

Addressing the students, Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Chandra Lohani said that Atal ji was a strong leader of Indian politics. Apart from politics, he was also involved in literature and journalism. He taught nationalist lessons to Indian journalism and played a leading role in the publication of magazines like Panchjanya and Rashtra Dharma. He said that the national consciousness is clearly reflected in Atal ji’s poems. Despite being at the top of politics, he always remained a common Indian. He never allowed the nation’s self-respect to diminish throughout his life.

In the poetry recitation competition organized on this occasion, Manisha Kumari got the first prize, Mandeep Yadav and Prakhar Raj got the second prize and Nitesh Kumar Tiwari got the third prize.

In the speech competition, Varsha Raj got the first prize, Manjeet Goswami got the second prize and Prakhar Raj got the third prize.

In the rangoli competition, Prakhar Patel and Muskan got the first prize, Aniket and Kritika Yadav got the second prize and Chirag got the third prize.

In the poster making competition, Prakhar Patel got the first prize, Chirag Kumar got the second prize, Aniket and Kritika got the third prize.

Apart from this, Prajjwal Pandey got the first place in the essay competition, Atul Kaushik got the second place and Prachi got the third place.

On this occasion, the program coordinator of National Service Scheme, Professor (Dr.) Subhash Chandra Thaledi said that all these inter-collegiate competitions were organized as per the instructions of Higher Education (National Service Scheme Cell) Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The participating students who give excellent poetry recitation and best speech on the biography of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee in his memory will get an opportunity to present their performance in front of the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on 25 December at Lok Bhavan, Lucknow.

During this, Professor (Dr.) Naveen Chandra Lohani, Prof. Ashok Tyagi, Dr. Amrita Chaudhary and Dr. Preeti Singh was in the role of judges. The co-coordinator of this program and program officer of NSS unit-1 and teacher of journalism department Ram Prakash Tiwari, Dr. Preeti Singh, Shelly Sharma, Shikeb Majeed etc. along with students of various departments were present.
