Awareness activity on “Intellectual Property Rights”
Awareness activity was organized ON 3rd December’2024 at Shaheed Baba Deep Singh, Department of Home Science to spread awareness among students about regarding “Intellectual Property Rights”. On this occasion, under guidance and supervision of HOD Dr. Nishma Singh, students were gathered in the department. Intellectual Property Rights includes, patents, exclusive rights, disclosure requirements, copyrights, trademarks and patent Infringement. Awareness was spread among students about intellectual property rights and why they are so important nowadays. Information was shared with students about how they can earn money from their own copyright and patents by selling their partial rights to their customers. Meanwhile we are encouraging our students gradually to come with new ideas and show their potential. Apart from this, we are sharing information on a frequent basis with students about how they can convert their idea into concept/product and the thorough process of applying for the patent of their conceived idea. Faculty members as Dr. Shalu Nehra, Dr. Neetu Yadav, Dr. Shruti Pokhariyal Ms. Urvashi Sharma and Ms. Swati Sharma actively participated to make the event more informative. Whereas Ms. Swati Sharma was coordinator of the event. Students of both M.Sc. and B.Sc. actively participated during the awareness session.
