In the sequence of execution of Swachhta Action Plan at the University/College/Institution level, Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University organized Awareness Programme on Garbage Disposal & Water Conservation on 23 September 2021, in which the importance of neat and clean surroundings and importance of water conservation, especially rainwater harvesting, was demonstrated to the students. Students of BHMCT, MHMCT, and Diploma courses in Hotel Management and Catering Technology along with teaching and non-teaching staff got practical exposure to how to dispose of useless and harmful plastic products. All the plastic products scattered around the building were collected and disposed to the garbage container. They also visited the rainwater harvesting site located aside from the department. Dr. Srivastav delivered a speech on rainwater harvesting site’s functional aspects and their importance for the environment as well as human beings. Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma, Head of Institution, thanked all the students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff for organizing such a valuable event and motivated everyone to be a part of this mission. During the event, the faculty members, Dr. Dhananjay Srivastav, Mrs. Garima Jain Goel, Mr. Yajvendra Singh, Mr. Indraneel Bose, Mr. Ankit Srivastav, and Mr. Vinay Punia were present.
