These included the decoration of the department, the installation and worship of Maa Saraswati’s portrait, and vibrant floral decorations. Sweet yellow rice, known as Prasad, was prepared for Maa Saraswati, and a lamp was lit in front of her portrait. Faculty members, including Dr. Shalu Nehra, Dr. Shruti Pokharial, Ms. Urvashi Sharma, and Ms. Swati Sharma, actively participated in the decoration, preparation of Prasad, and the worship ceremony. All present paid their respects through garlanding, salutations, and praise to the Goddess. Both M.Sc. and B.Sc. students participated enthusiastically, dressed in yellow attire, in honor of the goddess, and prayed for blessings of wisdom and knowledge. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prasad was distributed among all attendees, and everyone enjoyed the celebration with great enthusiasm.

Dr. Nishma Singh, the Head of Department, emphasized the significance of Basant Panchami, explaining how it marks the arrival of spring and is an auspicious occasion to seek knowledge, wisdom, and the blessings of Maa Saraswati.
