Career Counseling Session“Opportunities in Home Science”
The session began at 1:45 PM with an introduction by Ms Shagun Padhan, Student MSc FN 2nd yr welcomed the resource person and the attendees, which included undergraduate and postgraduate students. Further, HOD Dr Nishma Singh presented a Planter as a token of Appreciation to the resource person . Ms. Bhardwaj delivered an engaging talk, shedding light on the wide array of opportunities available in Home Science, including careers in nutrition, textiles, child development, extension services, and interior design. She shared her academic journey and professional experiences to inspire the students, highlighting the importance of skill development, research, and networking.
The session was interactive, with students eagerly participating in discussions about job prospects, the significance of internships, entrepreneurial ventures, and further studies in Home Science. Ms. Bhardwaj also emphasized the interdisciplinary nature of the field, encouraging students to explore emerging areas and align their skills with market demands. In the end , Program Coordinator Ms Urvashi Sharma, Assistant Professor and Member of University Career Counseling Cell gave vote of thanks.The event concluded at 3:00 PM, leaving the participants motivated and well-informed about their future possibilities. The program was highly appreciated by the students for its relevance and practical insights. The event was successfully conducted with the support and cooperation of HOD Dr Nishma Singh and Co- faculty members.
