Event Report: Digital Forensic and Its Role
The Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science at Keral Verma Subharti College of Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, orchestrated an illuminating event titled “Digital Forensic and Its Role” on November 29, 2024. The session, graced by the presence of 59 students and 16 faculty members, featured distinguished guest speakers, Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Singh, the visionary Founder of the Sherlock Institute of Forensic Science (SIFS), and Ms. Afreen Tarranum, an accomplished Senior Scientific Officer and Managing Head of the Education Department at SIFS. The event sought to enrich participants’ comprehension of digital forensic methodologies, delving into pivotal topics such as cybercrime investigation, evidence management, and ethical frameworks, while illustrating these concepts through compelling real-world case studies. Under the astute guidance of Dr. Renu Mavi, HoD of department and Dean of KVSCOS, the event cultivated an intellectually stimulating platform for attendees, empowering them to seamlessly integrate theoretical acumen with its practical application in the dynamic domain of digital forensics.
