Alumni Lecture on “Career, Scope and Opportunities in Radio Jockey”
On 16th September, an alumni lecture was organized by the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University on the topic ‘Career, Scope and Opportunities in Radio Jockey’ in the Multipurpose Hall of the department. Ms. Vanshika Saini, RJ at Azad Hind Radio 90.
0 FM shared her nostalgic feeling as she was there in her own department. Vanshika is a pride of the department as she is working phenomenal in her field.
She has also topped CCS University in her master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication.
She further elaborated about Radio, its objectives, what makes it different from other media platforms, importance of languages in radio, and about the career scopes one can aim at for becoming a Radio Jockey. Prof.(Dr.) S. C. Thaledi – Head of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication later delivered his speech on the topic “Career, Scope and Opportunities in Radio Jockey”. He told about when FM radio was launched in India and the working of FM radio. He further added about the importance of Community Radio Station. On this occasion Prof.(Dr.) S C Thaledi, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Tyagi, Dr. Gunjan Sharma, Lec. Preeti Singh, event coordinator Ram Prakash Tiwari, Asst.Prof., Madhur Sharma, Asst. Prof. including Palak, Astha, Bhumi, Arpit, Vishesh, Nitesh, Garima, Harshit, Manisha, and Simran were present on the occasion.
