Celebration of National Advocate Day

Objectives of the Activity: – 

  • To honour Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first President and a distinguished advocate, for his contributions to law and nation-building.
  • To acknowledge the role of advocates in upholding justice, constitutionalism, and rule of law.

Description: –

Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law Subharti Law College celebrated National Advocates Day to honour Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first President and a distinguished advocate. Ifrah Siddiqui, LL.M. II Year student, and Saniya Ansari & Sadhika Bansal, B.A.LL.B. I Year students expressed their thoughts on what inspired them to pursue Law and how reading about legal luminaries motivated them to follow the values exhibited by the luminaries. Honorable Justice Rajesh Chandra highlighted the fundamental duties of advocates toward both their clients and the court, underscoring the importance of integrity and ethical conduct in legal practice. She also drew attention to the growing concern of white-collar crimes committed by legal professionals, urging future advocates upholding the highest standards of professionalism and accountability. Prof. (Dr.) Reena Bishnoi enlightened students about the values- honesty, humbleness, politeness and respectful behavior, that an advocate must exhibit all the times and in the court of law. She educated students about the significant contribution of Dr. Rajendra Prasad towards legal profession and nation building. The activity concluded the vote of thanks by Mr. Ashutosh Deshwal.

The Outcome of the Activity: –

  • Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law paid tribute to Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first president and students learned about the contributions towards nation by Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
  • The celebration inspired students to pursue legal practice with integrity and uphold the rule of law.
