Subharti Institute of Technology and Engineering College, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University organized a Webinar on “DATA AND ITS SECURITY”, under CYBER JAGRUKTA DIWAS on 2nd Feb 2022.
The speaker, Mr. Prasun Srivastava, is a renowned Cyber Security Expert. The session saw an overwhelming response with 150 registration from students, faculty, and non-teaching staff from various colleges of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. Participants registered from different locations (Delhi, Maharashtra, Agra, Muzaffarnagar, Haryana, Bihar, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, etc.).
The lecture ended with a question and answer session with students then a vote of thanks was given by Dr. Shravan Garg (HoD CSE/IT). The event was organized within the college campus under the supervision of Maj. Gen Dr. G.K. Thapliyal and Dr. Manoj Kapil (Dean & Principal, SITE, SVSU). Among the faculties of the department Dr. Archita Bhatnagar, Er. Ashima and Er. Shweta Garg managed the whole session successfully.
Objective
The webinar was organized with the objective to:
• acquaint the participants with the prevailing cyber security threats
• educate the participants about the safety and security measures to adopt while using the internet and various applications.
The Speaker
Prasun Srivastava joined SafeNet (now Thales) in May 2007. Prasun has been involved in many turnkey projects in the BFSI and Government segment in India such as UPI, CTS, RTGS, E-sign, UIDAI Aadhaar, etc. and has a good experience of Designing and Architecting Solutions relevant to these industries since the last 15 years. He leads the Solution Engineering team of CPL Solutions of Thales for APAC countries.
