The Department of Languages, in association with the Bhartendu Literary and Cultural Club, organised a Krishna Janmashtami Utsav on 4 September 2026 at 10:00 A.M. onwards at the Department of Languages. The celebration aimed to promote Indian cultural heritage, creativity, and student participation.
Objectives
- To celebrate the cultural and spiritual significance of Krishna Janmashtami.
- To promote awareness of Indian traditions and cultural heritage.
- To provide a platform for students to showcase their talents.
- To encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and holistic development.
The programme began with the blessings of Prof. Seema Sharma, Head, Department of Languages. The event was enthusiastically anchored by the students- Fabian and Vanika.
Students participated in dance and acting performances, mantra chanting, and fun games associated with the festival. The activities provided an engaging platform for students to express their creativity and connect with Indian cultural traditions.
The event was further enriched by the gracious presence and encouragement of Dr. Rafat Khanam, Dr. Yeshpal, Dr. Manisha Luthra, Dr. Ashish Kumar, Dr. Nishi Raghav, Dr. Preeti Sharma, Mr. Ankit Kumar, Ms. Soni Chauhan, Ms. Bhavana Joshi, Dr. Akanksha Singh, Dr. Vijay Kant Shanwatiya, and Dr. Shipra. Their support and encouragement greatly motivated the students and contributed to the success of the celebration. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Jyoti Chaudhary, President of the Bhartendu Literary and Cultural Club, who expressed gratitude to the Head of the Department, faculty members, organisers, anchors, and student participants.
