The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), in collaboration with the University Environment Committee, organized an E-Poster Competition on the occasion of International Clean Air Day for Blue Skies on 07 September 2026. The competition was based on the theme “Clean Air, Healthy Lives, Shared Prosperity” and aimed to encourage students to creatively communicate the importance of clean air and environmental sustainability.

The activity provided students with a platform to express their thoughts and perspectives on environmental issues through digital visual communication. Students actively participated in the competition and created innovative e-posters using various AI tools and digital design applications. While developing their posters, students explored the theme, identified important environmental concerns, and presented their ideas through creative visual elements, messages, illustrations, and informative content.

The activity encouraged students to make effective use of emerging technologies in media production. Students demonstrated their analytical ability, creativity, imagination, and digital communication skills while conceptualizing and designing their posters. The use of AI tools also helped students experiment with different visual concepts and present environmental messages in an engaging and contemporary format.

Through their posters, students highlighted issues such as air pollution, environmental protection, healthy living, sustainability, and collective responsibility. The activity enabled them to understand how visual media can be effectively used for creating awareness and communicating socially relevant messages.

Overall, the E-Poster Competition was a meaningful and engaging learning activity that combined environmental awareness with AI-enabled creativity and digital media skills. It strengthened students’ ability to analyze a social issue, develop creative ideas, and communicate their perspectives effectively through visual storytelling. The activity also encouraged students to use technology responsibly for social awareness and environmental communication.
