Earth Day 2025
Celebrated with Enthusiasm at AVGSCMC, SVS University
The Nature Nurturers Eco Club of Acharya Vishnu Gupt Subharti College of Management and Commerce (AVGSCMC), in collaboration with the University Environment Committee, successfully organized a vibrant celebration of Earth Day 2025 on April 22, 2025, at the AVGSCMC, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU). The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and engage students through creative competitions.
The celebration featured two main events:
- Earth Day Reels Challenge: A Reels competition that encouraged students to express their environmental concerns and solutions through short videos.
- Voices For The Planet” – Speak Up For The Earth: An Open Mic competition providing a platform for students to share their thoughts, poems, and speeches on environmental issues.
Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Ghai, Dean of FoMC and Director of AVGSCMC, delivered an inspiring inaugural speech, setting the tone for the event. Dr. Sarika and Dr. Dolly Vaish, faculty members from AVGSCMC, served as the esteemed judges for both competitions.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various faculties, including the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Ayush, Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Management and Commerce, and Faculty of Pharmacy.
The results of the competitions were as follows:
Reels Competition:

- Winner: Students of Kharvel Subharti College of Pharmacy.
- Second Prize: Students of Acharya Vishnu Gupt Subharti College of Management and Commerce
- Third Prize: Student of Faculty of Education.
Open Mic Competition:

- Winner: Student of Acharya Vishnu Gupt Subharti College of Management and Commerce.
- Second Prize: Jointly won by the Student of Acharya Vishnu Gupt Subharti College of Management and Commerce and Student of Faculty of Ayush.
- Third Prize: Student of Department of Mass Communication and Student of Acharya Vishnu Gupt Subharti College of Management and Commerce.
The program was skillfully conducted by Dr. Gaurab Kumar Sharma, Eco Club Coordinator of AVGSCMC. Student members of the Eco Club were also present and helped in the smooth conduction of the event.
At the end of the event, students and faculty members took a green pledge to save power.
The Earth Day 2025 celebration at Subharti University was a resounding success, fostering a deeper sense of environmental responsibility among the students and highlighting the institution’s commitment to sustainability.
