In his introductory remarks, Dr. Sandeep Kumar emphasized the importance of Intellectual Property Rights in academics and research, providing a brief overview of the session’s theme.Dr. Manju Adhikari, the coordinator of the program, highlighted that the objective of the lecture was to provide students and researchers with an understanding of the significance of IPR, its legal provisions, and the patenting process—empowering them to advance their ideas in the right direction. During her insightful lecture, Dr. Nisha Rana elaborated on the fundamental concepts of intellectual property rights, the procedure for patent filing, as well as aspects related to copyright, trademarks, and innovation protection. She stressed that knowledge of IPR is crucial in the fields of research and higher education, as it enables students and researchers to secure legal protection for their innovations and ideas. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both faculty members and students. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Deepak Raghav.
