Swami Vivekananda Subharti University organized an extension activity on “Community Engagement and Social Responsibility” under ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan’
An extension activity on “Community Engagement and Social Responsibility” under the ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan’ of the Ministry of Education, Government of India was organized by the Department of Computer Science Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Meerut on 06/05/2019 at village Pepla, Meerut.
Through this extension activity, the students of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University encouraged and educated the local people about various government schemes, need and importance of self-help groups, etc.
They also created awareness about personal hygiene with the help of street plays.
Village head Mr. Anil Kumar thanked all the teachers and students of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University for their efforts and appreciated all the students for their wonderful street play and wished that Swami Vivekananda Subharti University will organize more similar activities in the future.
The extension activity was inaugurated by Dr. Manoj Kapil, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
During this activity, Head of the Computer Science Engineering Department Dr. Shravan Kumar Garg, Dr. Rahul Sirohi, Dr. Vishal Kumar, Dr. Dhir Pal Singh, Dr. Ankit Tiwari, Dr. Neha Verma, Dr. Sanjeev Tyagi, Er. Parag Rastogi, Er. Simarpreet Kaur, Mr. Amardeep, students of the University, and a large number of villagers were present.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Major General Dr.
GK Thapliyal, and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shalya Raj, appreciated the efforts put in by the organizers to make the event a success.
