“Eye Donation Fortnight Awareness Campaign”
Sardar Patel Subharti Law Institute, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut Under the direction of Director of the Subharti Law College Mr. Rajesh Chandra (Former Justice, Prayagraj, High Court, Uttar Pradesh) and under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya, Dean, Subharti law college in collaboration with Department of ophthalmology organized an awareness program on the topic “Eye Donation fortnight awareness campaign.Dr. Prem Chandra Academic Coordinator Subharti Institute of Law, welcome the speaker of the program Dr. Sagarika from ophthalmology Department. She told the program that Eye Donation Fortnight is an annual campaign aimed at raising awareness about the importance of eye donation. This campaign started from August 26 to September7, this initiative seeks to encourage people to pledge their eyes after death, thereby helping those suffering from visual impairments and blindness. The program involves a series of activities and events designed to educate the public and foster a culture of eye donation. She addresses and corrects misconceptions related to eye donation. Experts from ophthalmology explain the eye donation process, its benefits, and how to pledge. Participants were provided with brochures and information on how to register as donors. These awareness campaigns included interactive sessions where participants asked questions and got firsthand information. At the end of the program vote of thanks was given by Dr. Sarika Tyagi, Associate Professor Subharti Law College.
