The Farewell Party

The Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a grand Farewell Party on 27th May 2025 at the Guru Teg Bahadur Auditorium to bid an affectionate farewell to the outgoing students of B.Ed., M.Ed., and B.El.Ed. programs. Major General (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SVSU, Meerut and Prof (Dr.) Shalya Raj, CEO, SVSU Meerut shared their best wishes for all participants in their futures endeavours, success, fulfilment along with warmest congratulation on completion of their academic journey.
Objective of the Event:
The primary objective of the farewell celebration was to express heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing students, appreciate their journey and achievements, and wish them success in their future endeavours. It was also aimed at creating lasting memories and strengthening the bond between students and faculty.
Inaugural Ceremony:
The event began with an auspicious lamp lighting ceremony in front of the idol of Maa Saraswati, symbolizing the light of knowledge and wisdom. This ceremonial act was graced by the presence of the. The ceremony also witnessed the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, and Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education, along with the Deans of various faculties, like Prof (Dr.) S.C.Tiwari,Dean,Polotecnic College, Prof(Dr.)Sokendra Singh,Dean,Pharmacy Colleges, all the dedicated faculty members,Prof (Dr.) Indira Singh, Dr.Bhuvnesh Sharma Dr. Mumtaz Sheikh, Dr. Ragini Srivastava, Dr. Shalini Tiwari, Dr.Reeba,Dr.Sangeeta,Dr.Roopam Jain,Dr.Rubi, Ms. Vaishali Dr.Reshu, Ms.Aarti, Ms. Bhawna, DOE FOE, SVSU Meerut.
Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, shared his best wishes saying that, as you stand on the threshold of a new chapter in your life, it gives us immense pride and joy to bid you farewell. Today marks not just the end of your academic journey with us, but also the beginning of an exciting new path filled with opportunities, challenges, and endless possibilities. He said that although your physical presence will be missed, your memories, contributions, and legacy will forever remain part of this institution as an alumnus.
Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education, also shared the valuable thoughts, as future teachers and educational leaders, you hold the power to shape lives, transform classrooms, and build an enlightened society. I encourage you to carry forward the values, knowledge, and ethical principles instilled during your time here. Remain lifelong learners, adapt to change, and always remember that teaching is not just a profession — it is a noble mission. We hope you leave with fond memories, strong friendships, and a passion to make a difference in the world.
Prof (Dr.) S.C. Tiwari, Dean, Polotecnic College, shared his best wishes by reciting a motivational poem that means never give up in the life. Prof (Dr.) Sokendra Singh, Dean, Pharmacy Colleges, also gave his message saying that your path ahead be filled with success, happiness, and purpose. Go forth with confidence, and let your light shine wherever you go. Though your journey with us comes to an end, you will always remain a cherished member of our institution’s family.
Judging Panel: To add to the excitement, a Mr. & Miss Farewell competition was conducted and evaluated by the distinguished faculty members:
M.Ed. final year students, the judging was done by Dr. Mumtaz Sheikh, Associate Professor, DOE, FOE, SVSU Meerut.
B.Ed. final year students, the panel was led by Dr. Ragini Srivastava, Assistant Professor, DOE, FOE, SVSU Meerut.
B.El.Ed. final year students, judging was done by Dr. Shalini Tiwari, Assistant Professor, DOE, FOE, SVSU Meerut.
Program Highlights:
The event was a vibrant mix of cultural performances and emotional moments: Dance performances by students set the stage alive with energy and colors. A spectacular ramp walk event showcased the confidence and charm of the outgoing batch.Musical performances, including soulful singing, added rhythm and emotion to the occasion. Heart-touching presentations and speeches by students reminisced their journey and memorable experiences at SVSU.The audience was moved by the heartfelt expressions of gratitude from students to their mentors and peers.

The formal Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Reshu Rani, Event Coordinator, who expressed deep appreciation to all the dignitaries, faculty members, students, (Dhani, anchor of the event, Mayank Jee, Nishal Kumar, Shankar, Anusha,Nitu, Aashita Lakshita) and organizing team for making the event a grand success. The farewell ceremony was a remarkable celebration of joy, gratitude, nostalgia, and new beginnings.
