Fieldwork Completion for
Community Engagement and Social Responsibility
The Department of Chemistry, Keral Verma Subharti College of Science (KVSCOS), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully completed fieldwork under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0, as an essential component of the Community Engagement and Social Responsibility, SWAYAM / Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) curriculum.
This fieldwork was conducted in the villages of Bali, Parikshitgarh and Shahzadpur.
The students actively participated in various activities, internalizing different dimensions of community engagement and social responsibility. The objective of this fieldwork was to connect the students with social concerns and provide them with ground-level experiences.
The major activities included spreading awareness about health and hygiene, pollution control strategies, online education awareness, women empowerment, tree plantation activities, animal protection awareness, and providing information about career opportunities. These efforts aimed at empowering the community and promoting environmental and social responsibility.
This fieldwork reflects the students’ social consciousness, active participation, and sense of responsibility. Through these diverse activities, the students adopted a multidimensional approach to community service. 0Special thanks are extended to Mrs. Raj Rani, Principal of Abhinav Public School, Bali, and Mr. Ravi Kumar, Principal of S.S. Public School, Shahzadpur, for their significant support in this important initiative.
The successful completion of the fieldwork was made possible under the coordination of Mr. Anuj Bali.
The event was carried out under the guidance of the Head of Department, Prof. (Dr.) Renu Mavi, along with the full cooperation of all faculty members of the Chemistry Department — Dr. Preeti Singh, Ms. Manvi Chaudhary, Ms. Nisha Singh, and Ms. Pragati Jain.
The students’ enthusiastic participation and their achievements reflect their strong connection with society and represent a meaningful step toward building a stronger India.
